Stop ‘n Save will be joining the Railyard Leadville Neighborhood

High Country Developers, LLC (creator of Railyard Leadville) and Feather Petroleum Co.proudly announce that Stop ‘n Save will be joining the Railyard Leadville neighborhood! On February 1, 2019, Feather Petroleum Co. (dba Stop ‘n Save) purchased the northeast corner lot at the intersection of Hwy 24 and Mountain View Drive and plans to commence construction in 2020.

Feather Petroleum Co. opened it’s current Stop ‘n Save convenience store in Leadville in 1986. Over the past 30 years, it has had several remodels to meet the community’s appetite for food, beverage and clean restrooms. No more remodels will be necessary as Stop ‘n Save plans on building a modern convenience store with a large selection of foodservice items, packaged beverages, inside and outside seating areas and a large fuel forecourt for easy fueling of all vehicles. Kent Frieling, President of Feather Petroleum Co., states that “Stop ‘n Save is proud to continue its involvement in the Leadville community and feels the Railyard Leadville neighborhood will be the premier residential and commercial area in Leadville and Lake County. Planning of the new store has begun!” Mike Bordogna, Executive Director of the Leadville Lake County Economic Development Corporation had this to add regarding the sale: “We are so pleased to see the continued investment into our community by a Colorado, family-owned chain. We believe in the experience and vision of this project and look forward to the next 30 years of the investment and positive community relations that Mr. Frieling and his family have already shown the Lake County Community.”

Feather Petroleum Co./Stop ‘n Save has been a Colorado-based, family-owned business since 1977, currently operating 16 stores in 10 counties. Please visit stopnsaveco.com and railyardleadville.com for more information.
